If you missed the deadline to file as a regular candidate for county central committee on Wednesday, February 5th, there may still be a chance for you to get involved.
So many precincts go without candidates; it is possible that no one filed to run in your precinct. If so, by filing to be a write-in candidate, all you may need to do to get elected is vote for yourself on primary election day.
The deadline to file as a write-in candidate is February 24th.
How to get involved:
- Identify your precinct’s name at this link.
- Call your local board of elections (directory) to see if there are county central committee races in your area.
- If so, ask if anyone filed to run in your precinct.
- If there is a position available, obtain write-in candidate form. Complete and submit it per the instructions from your local board of elections.
Finally, be sure to vote for yourself on primary election day!
